Jennifer Fisher began her jewelry line with her family in mind. After a long struggle to have children, Jennifer delivered a healthy baby boy in March 2005. She wanted a unique piece of jewelry with her new son’s name on it.
Because Jennifer was unable to find anything special, she designed and created a dog tag, stamped her son’s name on it. Soon after, her friends began to request their own. From the dog tag came a variety of terrific pendants, charms, chains, cuff bracelets, earrings and rings.
Jennifer Fisher's line is available in yellow, rose and white gold. The jewelry can be accented with brown, black and white diamonds.
Almost all of the 14k gold pieces in the Jennifer Fisher collection can be hand stamped with names, monograms, initials or phrases. You can add anything as long as it fits on the piece.
Recently, Jennifer has been focusing on higher end fashion pieces. She has created some amazing, large 18k gold cuffs among other bold items.
Jennifer Fisher's "Charlotte" heart with diamond pendant can be seen on Kristin Davis in Sex and the City: The Movie, and Sarah Jessica Parker also wore a pair of her gold hoop earrings in the film. The line has garnered many celebrity fans, including Lauren Conrad, Uma Thurman and Marissa Miller.
Prices range from under $100 to over $2,000. You check out the whole Jennifer Fisher Jewelry collection and shop online (Visit Their Site).
Jennifer Fisher was kind enough to talk with us about the latest trends in jewelry.
What jewelry trends do you see staying popular this year?
I see cuff bracelets staying strong through next summer, so I added some larger versions with a variety of different accents to my line.
What statement piece of jewelry do you think every woman should own?
Every woman needs a large pair of hoop earrings and a long, everyday necklace (something with a few (3-5) large charms on a 26-30"chain). A long opera length necklace is the perfect accessory to wear in the fall over tops with tights or a great sweater dress and over the knee boots.
What's your personal favorite piece of jewelry?
I don’t have one favorite piece of jewelry. That’s part of what I enjoy about being a jewelry designer - I get to create lots of new favorite pieces.
I usually always wear one item of strong jewelry, whether it’s a great ring, a large cuff, earrings or strong necklaces and smaller bracelets. Some women make mistakes by over-accessorizing. If you wear big earrings skip the large necklace and chunky bracelets and vice versa. Don’t overdo it with big earrings and bracelets and rings all at once.
