Yellow

When it comes to colorful accessories, yellow is quite a versatile color. I recently snagged a yellow Telfar bag, and looking at it always brings a smile to my face. I specifically enjoy pairing yellow handbags with neutral clothing and gold jewelry.

Green

If you want to really experiment with color, go for a green handbag. Want some shopping help? Reed is a fan of this budget-friendly Telena crossbody bag ($40), which comes in multiple hues. "I always love an emerald green moment, and this bag is no different," she says. "The croc print gives the bag some texture and makes it feel luxe, and you can truly pair this bag back to anything from a blazer to even sweats on the weekend. It’s become one of my go-to bags!"

Purple

Purple handbags can range from deep magenta hues to bright lilac shades. Darker purples feel neutral, while pastel versions make more of a statement. Bottom line: The addition of a purple handbag makes any outfit more playful and cheery.

Orange

Orange has a range of hues—from bright citrus to burnt tonal. It is a shockingly adaptable color and while it certainly can be worn year-round, I prefer to wear my orange handbags during the warmer months.

White

White handbags in all shapes and sizes can be cool and chic as a date night clutch or larger travel bag. White also looks fantastic in several materials like silk, glitter, leather, or hemp. Pair a white bag with bright, bold colors, red heels, patterned blazers, or trendy neon makeup and nails.

Pale Blue

Pale blue is similar to white but with a pop of color that pairs well with practically everything. How do we know? Consider your favorite pair of jeans—it's a basically neutral shade that can be paired with bright solids, prints, or plain neutrals. A pale blue leather handbag looks great with a beige cardigan and jeans, or faux leather leggings and an oversized colorful knit sweater. A pale blue sued clutch works with a lacy evening dress or beachy maxi.

Red

"I love incorporating a red bag to an otherwise neutral look," says Reed. It’s bold, it’s chic, it’s timeless— it’s the perfect way to bring life into an outfit, whether you’re pairing it with a white tee and denim, or even an all-black look."
