Silver Gladiator Sandals on the Red Carpet

At the 2008 American Music Awards this past weekend, the stars came out in an array of different fashions, from gorgeous evening gowns to less formal, short dresses.

One of the common trends on the red carpet were silver gladiator-inspired high heels. I was hoping that the gladiator trend would be gone after last spring and summer when it was just "too much." But from the looks of the award show fashions and the Spring 2009 collections, it looks like these shoes will be back in full force.

These silver high heels pictured here were worn by Queen Latifah at the American Music Awards. Julianne Hough was also spotted in some silver gladiator sandals as well.
